On other news, Ava came over to play the other day, and I took the opportunity to have her model for me. She's a pretty lively little thing, so it was a challenge! But I think we got some good ones:

New and Improved!
The "basic bows" are now improved! I finally found the answer to the problem of them not holding their shape. Apparently I'm not the only bow maker who's had this problem. I'm part of a forum on the website where I buy my ribbon, and this was one of the topics. Thankfully, the solution was there as well! So, for all you lovers of the basics, check it out soon - I think you'll like the improvement!

Lovely Etsy Find!
One of my favorite passtimes is browsing etsy, the website where I sell bows. There are so many talented, artistic, creative people out there! Here's one I found recently:

New Style!
Here's another new style! This one is called the "Duet Bow" because it used two colors that play together so well:
Also - the next installment of "what Diana wore today". There's nothing like pink and brown! Today Diana is modeling my newest bow - the "Duet" bow in pinks and browns.
I really like this one for several reasons - It's got a great shape - like a basic bow, but better.
It has versatility, with the multi colors, and the sizes can be combined for a really terrific bow!
And finally, because it's really a simple bow, but looks like a boutique bow - it even creates it's own spikes!

Some things in the works
Here's some things to watch for in the future:
Isn't that precious! That's going to be a great one for Easter!
Cute little bows, right? "bows" being the key word - these are actually two bows in one!
This is what I'm calling my "Build - A - Bow". Just the base, anyway. The topper bow can be whatever you want - a korker, marabou puff, tuxedo... There are many bows that look great on it. The little daisy will be available soon, as well. I've got some ideas for a "ribbon flower" collection... Speaking of ribbon flowers - here's an awesome one:

What Diana wore today (and the past few!)
I'm seriously behind in my new series - "What Diana Wore Today"!! So to catch up, here's a bunch:
So, hopefully that gives you some ideas of ways to use my bows! =)
This one is actually from today. This is two sets of mini korkers. Because my motto is - "bigger is better"!! =)
This is her testing out one of my new, as yet unnamed, styles (send me those names, ladies!!) It's a medium basic bow with spikes to back it up. I think it's a great bow for pigtails - not to big, but noticeable.
Here she is wearing a set of "Cambrie" bows - can you tell I'm really liking the pigtails? Her hair is finally long enough, and she's so stinkin' cute in them! So, hopefully that gives you some ideas of ways to use my bows! =)
I'm in a Treasure Box!
One of my items was selected by a fellow etsian to be in her "treasury"! See it here:

Wow! It's a very nice compliment! It's hard to get a treasury list to begin with, and then for that person to select one of my items, among the bajillions (I miss you everytime I say that, Melisa!) out there - wow!

New Year's Day Showcase
I have another "showcase" lined up on etsy today. Follow this link if you're interested in playing the "spot her item" game! =)
http://www.etsy.com/showcase.php?showcase_id=children
This is just a special place where sellers can get some visibility for their shops. One of my items at a time will be in the showcase, and when that item sells, the next takes it's place. I thought a lot about which items and in what order to put them in, so we'll see...
Happy '09 to you all!!
