Snowy Days

The snow may not be fun to drive in, but it sure has been coming down in such a lovely way! I am not a winter lover - just too much cold, bulky clothing, kids trapped inside, passing viruses. But I can appreciate the beauty of the pure whiteness! Weren't the trees amazing this past Sunday morning! It took my breath away - we were all wondering at the frosted white world on our drive to church. Here's a selection of bows with a snowy theme:

A Bow by Another Name

A bow by another name is just as cute, right? Sure hope so, because I decided to split off some styles from their "parent" names, and give them their own rightful place of honor in the column of bow names. So, instead of a "Double Ane Bow," I now have "Hannah" bows:

January Newsletter

The January newsletter is out! If you didn't get one, and would like to be on the list, send me an e-mail at: deannms3 (at) gmail (dot) com. There's a great special going on! Which reminds me - I did make a slight adjustment to my "special of the month" program. Now, the special is only available to those who are on my e-mail list. So, if you want to be included - just sign up!

I'm getting ready to do some new listings on etsy tonight! Time to gear up for Valentine's Day! Yes, already!!

There should be quite a few new etsy listings and blog postings appearing this month, with new products and styles. I have so many ideas swirling around in my head! I can't wait for the kids to get back to school, hubby back to work (well, I wouldn't mind if he stuck around) =) get the house back in order, and then it's PROJECT TIME!! Yay for winter days, stuck inside with no gardening, camping, or canning! I really am a summer person, so at least I have something I can like about winter! =)

New Year! New Fun!

Happy new year to you all! I hope your Christmas was a blessed one for everyone, and I send you my best wishes for the new year! I hope it is filled with happy moments with family and friends! We had a wonderful Christmas season, filled with lots of fun! But, I'm looking forward to the kids being back in school, so I can get my house and schedule back in order! =}

I always look forward to January as a time to delve into projects that haven't seen the light of day for a while. So, this winter I'm looking forward to new and exciting things - new products, new crafts. And maybe some old, but still exciting things, like scrapbooking (thinking of going digital - anyone done that??) and cards!

What do you plan to do to keep the "winter blues" away? I'd love to hear what's your favorite thing to do while cooped up inside all winter long.

I have some new products up my sleeve - keep checking back! I'm really excited about them, so I'm sure you will be too! I also have some great specials in the works!

Custom Bows

Here's a few custom bows I did recently: Isn't this one too cute? This Lydia bow matches a little baby jumper that has dalmation spots on it, with a pink t-shirt underneath. Cute, cute, cute!!

This is an Amber bow. I thought the pink and white with the snowflake was a great combination!
Here's one of the two Ava bows that I did for Melisa's girls. The other is a slightly smaller version of the same thing. Hey, Melisa- I know you're not busy or anything - but I'd love to see a picture of the girls wearing their matching bows!

peppermint stick

Like that "fresh, minty taste"? Here's some things for you:A Lydia bow in cranberry and white with white sparkle marabou.
New headband colors - "burgundy" (?? matches my "currant" ribbon) and "red". Great for Christmas!! (and Valentine's Day - one of my favorite holidays - looking forward to making things for that!)

And, just in case you were having a hard time getting in the Chrismas mood:

These little clippies make me feel so jolly! And they look really cute in hair. I'll have to get a picture up to show you. These special edition clippies are "one and only's" so if you're interested, let me know before someone else does!

photo shoot

Diana did some modeling for me today, and I just had to share them with you all!

Here she is showing off the Loopy Bow (still has it's original name!). Which reminds me, I never did announce what I decided to call the two bows whose names were under discussion. Popular opinion said I should call the new one by a girl's name, so the new bow is now the "Diana bow"! Thanks for all your great ideas - especially Melisa- who caused me to realize that bow really did fit my daughter's personality! =)

This is one of those bows that, until you see it on a little girl's head, it can't be fully appreciated! I fell in love with this bow, which is called a "sheer rosette". I love this one for it's airiness, shimmer, and pure sweetness. What do you think?
