Summer Dress

I finally got around to making a summer dress for Diana. I'd been wanting to do some sewing for her ever since we brought her home, but never seemed to get around to it. I love sewing summer clothes, so I finally took the time to create this:

It was a lot of fun to sew! I was able to add loads of details to it - including making a ruffled edge with the double ruffled ribbon I so love! =D I'm pleased with how it turned out, and Diana loves it too! Bonus! =D lol.

The back is just as cute:

And of course, a special dress calls for a special bow! =)

This is a triple-layered rufflie bow. I wanted to use a touch of the accent colors to draw them out, so I added some korkers too.

Yay! I finally set the date for my open house! I wanted it a little closer to summer, but not before kiddos are out of school (and all things crafty tends to be put on the back burner). So, mark your calenders for May 14 and 15! There will be totally awesome give-aways (we're talking Vera Bradley, ladies!!! And of course some lovely bows and other fun surprises)  - and lots of great deals!! Of course, I'll have a nice little spread of goodies - yummm!

Here's the dates and times broken down:

Friday, May 14 - 10:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the evening.

Saturday, May 15 - 10:00 in the morning until 3:00 in the afternoon.

Place - my home. Send me an e-mail for more information.

Garage Sale Deals!!

Hey, all you garage salers out there! This is a special deal for you!

I've pretty much given up sending out a newsletter this month, because time keeps slipping away. I've been working on the garage sale that's coming up - tomorrow!! Aghh!! Actually, I'm rather calm. I've done these so many times, it just keeps getting easier. Not having kids around tonight also helps my calm. =)

But, to get back to my point....

I'm having a garage sale starting tomorrow, through Saturday. Saturday is also the local community garage sale day, which is kind of a big deal in a little town. Sad, I know.... And of course, not one to miss out on a chance to display my bows, I'm going to have them set up for sale. And to encourage sales, I have a great sale planned - everything in stock is 25% off! This is just during the garage sale, so hurry on out, and check it out!

Oh yeah, here's the directions:

I'm on County Road 38, just north of Wakarusa, between S.R. 19 and C.R. 3 (closer to 3). Look for the sign out front advertising popsicles and lemonade. =) Yeah, my kids love it when we have a garage sale!

Another Great Model!

Meet Ane - the inspiration for the "Ane Bow" and a very sweet, pretty girl. She and my son Kenneth have been "sweet friends" from the moment they met (when they were just over two years old), and it was so much fun to be able to take some "modelling" pictures of her.

I am thrilled to be able to show you some of the styles that look great on an older girl. Here she is modelling the "Large Basic Bow."

And probably one of the most fun bows I have - the "Spikey Bow" - doesn't it look so cute??

What Diana Wore Today

I'm waaaay behind in the series "What Diana Wore Today". And with the change of seasons (finally!!) there's so much to show! This is one little girl who has too many clothes! I thought I was being more reasonable this year, but one outfit here and one outfit there, adds up fast!

Here she is with her brothers, wearing the double cosmo bow.

Love those mini korkers! When I need a super-cute everyday bow, this is the one I usually go for - I love them on pigtails!

Diana needs dresses with full skirts to allow for her bent knees, and this one is definitely full enough! It makes a complete circle when she sits, which seems to tickle her fancy. Nothing like girls and frills! She's wearing an Elena Boutique Bow to accompany it.

Gymboree has a new collection - the Watermelon Picnic line. It's a simple one, thankfully! Simply 4 easy to match colors! Wow - that's a rare one! =)
