Name That Bow

Okay, here's your chance to win a bow! I have a new style, and it needs a name! I'm putting a "survey" on the side bar. Vote for your favorite, and let me know you did by leaving a comment with your name. If you want to e-mail me, that would be fine too - send e-mails to deannms3 (at) gmail (dot) com.
Here's the bow - it's made with tulle, topped with korkers. So cute! I can imagine this bow used with a tutu, but not limited by any means to ballerinas! This little cutie has lots of personality!
And of course the most important part - the prize! One lucky winner will receive a bow in this new style. I'll post a picture of the actual bow soon. You have until February 15th to vote; I'll do the drawing that day, and post it. If I don't already have your e-mail, please check back soon after that for your name! Good luck!

Takin' a Break

Hello, Bloggy friends! After the excitement of a couple weeks ago (see the family blog), I took a little break from sitting in front of my computer searching for Haiti earthquake videos. But, I think I'm ready to jump back into the game! I have so many ideas, just waiting for me to get my act in gear, and I can't wait to show them to you. I usually work best under a deadline, and I don't have one of those right now (mixed blessing). Hmmm, anyone want to book a party? That usually gets me to wrap everything up so I can take the pictures, put it in the catalog, etc. Or, maybe I should make a list. That might work - let's see - here's an idea of what you can expect to see:
  • New styles to put in catalog: rufflie socks, ballerina bows, Christmas styles, button clippies,
  • Update color charts for: sheer rosettes, headbands (new limited editions), deluxe marabou puffs, rufflies,
  • Develop new styles in the works: felt flower clippies, baby satin clippies, tulle bows, butterfly bow, crocheted beanies and headbands, stretch lace headbands.
Anything else you want me to add?? =)

Hearts for Haiti

My first donation is up! Check it out here! Hopefully it won't be there long! =) I have some of Le Centre Lumiere crocheted bags donated as well, that should be up soon. In order to make them "made by me" I added button embellishments. Here's what I did:

I think people will really go for these, since they were even made in Haiti! They'll be helping twice! How cool is that?

Help for Haiti

Some of you may know, Haiti has a special place in my heart. I've been there three times, and my parents go at least once a year. We have special relationships with many of the missionaries in the city of Les Cayes, and all over the country. So, the earthquake that hit Haiti really touched me. And to make it even more personal - my parents are there right now. We thank God they are safe and well cared for, and praise Him for the e-mail connection we have been able to have. Please pray for the people of Haiti - there are no words to describe the devastation this has caused the entire country. For more info on my family, and a few poignent news articles, see our family blog: http://www.all4diana.blogspot.com/

There's something else you can do, besides prayer (keep that first, though - Haiti is a country in need of God's angels' protection!!) - donate! Here's an etsy site set up to help with that: Hearts For Haiti. I will be donating an item soon, and will let you know when I see it listed. I'm not sure what it will be yet; maybe something not "bow" related!

Tootsie Teaser

Here's a little teaser of one of the new items I'm working on:

They are still in the development stage, as I learn the "tricks" and gather my resources. Diana gets the priviledge of being my "tester" and really seems to enjoy it! She has been tickled to have these ruffled socks, and talks about them all day long when she's wearing them! =)
What do you think?

I may as well throw in another "what Diana wore today" installment while I'm at it! =) Don't you just love it when parent's brag about their kids?? =) This is one of my favorite Gymboree lines from a while back. I love lavender and navy together. The socks actually go better with the other items from that collection, but oh well. Her hair is in a new style now - it's getting so long! Now it can all sweep up into a pony - makes her so grown up looking!

A One-Of-A-Kind

I was messing around last night, just trying to come up with something fun and different for Valentine's Day. Here's what came out:

It's made with in a "Diana" style, with tulle, korkers and ric rac added in. And, just for another level of cute, some buttons are sewn on!

This is definitely one of those "not-likely-to-be-repeated" ones - so, if you want it - hurry on over to etsy or send me a note soon!

Which reminds me - I did make a slight adjustment to my "special of the month" program. Now, the special is only available to those who are on my e-mail list. So, if you want to be included - just sign up!

I'm getting ready to do some new listings on etsy tonight! Time to gear up for Valentine's Day! Yes, already!!

There should be quite a few new etsy listings and blog postings appearing this month, with new products and styles. I have so many ideas swirling around in my head! I can't wait for the kids to get back to school, hubby back to work (well, I wouldn't mind if he stuck around) =) get the house back in order, and then it's PROJECT TIME!! Yay for winter days, stuck inside with no gardening, camping, or canning! I really am a summer person, so at least I have something I can like about winter! =)

Button Clippies

I'm finally getting around to posting about some newer products! Here's some little cuties that were a huge hit at the craft fairs!

New Year! New Fun!

Happy new year to you all! I hope your Christmas was a blessed one for everyone, and I send you my best wishes for the new year! I hope it is filled with happy moments with family and friends! We had a wonderful Christmas season, filled with lots of fun! But, I'm looking forward to the kids being back in school, so I can get my house and schedule back in order! =}

I always look forward to January as a time to delve into projects that haven't seen the light of day for a while. So, this winter I'm looking forward to new and exciting things - new products, new crafts. And maybe some old, but still exciting things, like scrapbooking (thinking of going digital - anyone done that??) and cards!

What do you plan to do to keep the "winter blues" away? I'd love to hear what's your favorite thing to do while cooped up inside all winter long.

I have some new products up my sleeve - keep checking back! I'm really excited about them, so I'm sure you will be too! I also have some great specials in the works!
