Made using 4 "Pretty Petals" flower clips. I love how it makes a "crown" on her head!

Summer Dress

I finally got around to making a summer dress for Diana. I'd been wanting to do some sewing for her ever since we brought her home, but never seemed to get around to it. I love sewing summer clothes, so I finally took the time to create this:

It was a lot of fun to sew! I was able to add loads of details to it - including making a ruffled edge with the double ruffled ribbon I so love! =D I'm pleased with how it turned out, and Diana loves it too! Bonus! =D lol.

The back is just as cute:

And of course, a special dress calls for a special bow! =)

This is a triple-layered rufflie bow. I wanted to use a touch of the accent colors to draw them out, so I added some korkers too.

Next up - a Fourth of July dress! Check back soon for that!

Tootsie Teaser

Here's a little teaser of one of the new items I'm working on:

They are still in the development stage, as I learn the "tricks" and gather my resources. Diana gets the priviledge of being my "tester" and really seems to enjoy it! She has been tickled to have these ruffled socks, and talks about them all day long when she's wearing them! =)

I may as well throw in another "what Diana wore today" installment while I'm at it! =) Don't you just love it when parent's brag about their kids?? =) This is one of my favorite Gymboree lines from a while back. I love lavender and navy together. The socks actually go better with the other items from that collection, but oh well. Her hair is in a new style now - it's getting so long! Now it can all sweep up into a pony - makes her so grown up looking!

Butterflies

Don't you just love to see a butterfly? They're like little floating flowers! I can't help but pause and admire how lovely and delicate they are. Surely God smiled when He made them.

Diana has this cute little skirt with butterflies on it, so I came up with this bow to go with it.

Gracies

Diana loves it when I do braids in her hair, which I think is really amazing! I definitely needed some practice before posting pictures - it's just a little trickier doing them in someone else's hair! =) Here she is modeling her braids - and Gracie Bows.

What Diana Wore Today

I'm waaaay behind in the series "What Diana Wore Today". And with the change of seasons (finally!!) there's so much to show! This is one little girl who has too many clothes! I thought I was being more reasonable this year, but one outfit here and one outfit there, adds up fast!

Here she is with her brothers, wearing the double cosmo bow.

Love those mini korkers! When I need a super-cute everyday bow, this is the one I usually go for - I love them on pigtails!

Diana needs dresses with full skirts to allow for her bent knees, and this one is definitely full enough! It makes a complete circle when she sits, which seems to tickle her fancy. Nothing like girls and frills! She's wearing an Elena Boutique Bow to accompany it.

New style!

Today was a kind of dreary day. Rainy, cloudy, cold... A great day to be inside. And the housework just didn't seem very enticing. (like usual) =) So, it was a good day to spend developing a new style:

This is reminiscent of those cute fabric yo-yo's from my grandmother's era. I've been gazing at them thoughtfully for a while now as I walk through the craft stores, wondering about their use as a hair clip.
Today I thought, why not make it with ribbon? And of course, if one layer is good, two is better! =)

So, for lack of a better name, here's the "Yo-Yo Bow". Hmm, is that too corny? I'd welcome some suggestions!

These look great on pigtails, or sweeping up the sides! I love how they have so many color combination options!

Birthday Girl!

What kind of Mommy would I be if I didn't show you all pictures of my little ones? =) Here's Diana wearing her special birthday outfit that I made for her.

She's all girl - loves the princessy, frooffy, glittery, pink stuff! She had a ball (a princess ball, that is!) =) at her party, soaking up all the attention and fun. It was so much fun to see her enjoyment! I hope it made up for 4 missed birthdays. Happy birthday, sweetie pie! Mommy loves you!

Love those Rufflies!

I am thoroughly in love with the rufflie bow, as I'm sure many of you are. They are so sweet! I'm now up to 23 colors, with the addition of maize yellow, ocean blue and lemon grass. I'll have to get a picture of them up soon. For now, here's Diana wearing the maize and creamcicle:

A favorite

One of the first korkers that I made was to match a gymboree line, Spring Rainbow. Since then I can't tell you how many of these I've sold - it seems to be my most popular color combo:Here's Diana wearing this combo in a set of mediums:

Also - the next installment of "what Diana wore today." Here she is with two medium korkers. I decided she's finally big enought for them on pigtails, and I love the effect! It's amazing how great she looks in any color - wish I could claim the genetics to that hair and complexion!

New Style!

Here's another new style! This one is called the "Duet Bow" because it used two colors that play together so well:

I really like this one for several reasons - It's got a great shape - like a basic bow, but better.

It has versatility, with the multi colors, and the sizes can be combined for a really terrific bow!

And finally, because it's really a simple bow, but looks like a boutique bow - it even creates it's own spikes!

Also - the next installment of "what Diana wore today". There's nothing like pink and brown! Today Diana is modeling my newest bow - the "Duet" bow in pinks and browns.

What Diana wore today (and the past few!)

I'm seriously behind in my new series - "What Diana Wore Today"!! So to catch up, here's a bunch:

This one is actually from today. This is two sets of mini korkers. Because my motto is - "bigger is better"!! =)

This is her testing out one of my new, as yet unnamed, styles (send me those names, ladies!!) It's a medium basic bow with spikes to back it up. I think it's a great bow for pigtails - not to big, but noticeable.

Here she is wearing a set of "Cambrie" bows - can you tell I'm really liking the pigtails? Her hair is finally long enough, and she's so stinkin' cute in them!

So, hopefully that gives you some ideas of ways to use my bows! =)

I just added a new feature to my blog - a little thing called "reactions". On another note - I'm planning to run a series of posts called "What Diana wore today"! =) She's such a great model, and loves to have her picture taken.
